Our dear friend Eurylochus, how we miss the one intelligent man on the ship, tried to warn Odysseus of the dangers of Circe. Of course he did not listen. We don't understand why the Gods are helping him, because he does not deserve it. Being sent to an uncertain fate, the men who were punished to the island were transformed into pigs by Circe's dark magic. We are surprised that when Odysseus found out that he did not immediantely cook up his men, so we applaud him for that. Instead he sought out the help of Hermes and was made immune to her potions. Not forgetting of himselef though, when Odysseus reached Circe's, he was unfaithful to Penelope. Once his men were turned back into their original state, they remained on the island for a year.
